Clair Global has a rewarding position available for an HR Generalist based in its Escondido office. The qualified candidate will work with the corporate human resources staff to lead employee relations, company culture, recruiting, hiring, compensation, benefits, and employment law compliance for all California based office. This position represents all brands of Clair Global including Sound Image, Eighth Day Sound, Clair Global and Clair Global Integration.


QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of this job while exercising appropriate levels of judgment and discretion.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Human Resources Development, Business Administration, or another related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in a Generalist role
  • Thorough understanding of California employment law and HR best practices
  • Proficient in HRIS systems; ideally iSolved People Cloud
  • Excellent employee relation skills
  • Flexible when priorities shift
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently; ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
  • Must be able to operate normal office machinery.
  • Must be able to work in a usual office environment.
  • Must be able to perform intermediate level math calculations.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with internal and external customers in person, via telephone, and email.
  • Ability to travel to other West Coast offices 40% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Post job listings; review resumes; arrange interviews.
  2. Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of employees.
  3. Maintain all records, processes, and policies as required by law.
  4. Manage leaves of absence from initial paperwork through return to work.
  5. Respond to employees with benefit inquiries.
  6. Create company communication announcements.
  7. Provide guidance to managers on best practices in employee relations following applicable laws.
  8. Perform other related duties as requested.
