JOB SUMMARY: The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily job-site operations and supervising installation crews to ensure the safe completion of installation projects in an efficient manner.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of this job while exercising independent judgment and discretion.
- Comprehension of AV system functionality and installation means and methods
- Formal education or extensive experience in audiovisual, construction, technology, or related field
- Proven team leadership experience. Ability to motivate, enable, and excite crew members. Ability to manage a crew to meet deadlines and priorities
- Demonstrated management of multiple projects using sound time management skills with an exceptional eye for detail
- Effective communication and interaction skills
- Creative problem solving and investigation skills to identify complex problems and generate solutions
- Ability to interpret construction documentation including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, conduit risers and functional schematics
- Proven install, technical and trouble-shooting ability equivalent to, or better than, that of an Installer or Service Technician
- Must be self-motivated with a willingness to work within a team environment with minimal direction and a strong work ethic.
- Must be familiar and comfortable with working on busy construction sites
- Must be able to meet deadlines and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities
- Interested in learning new skills and technologies
- Must be proficient in time management and organization skills, results oriented, and extremely detail oriented
- Prefer CTS-I Certification or working towards it
- Requires valid driver's license, passport, and ability to travel internationally
- High amount of travel working on national and international projects
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience installing, configuring, testing, and servicing audiovisual systems
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Responsible for supervision and safety of all personnel and activities on the project site
- Obtain and read all contract documents including, but not limited to bid drawings and specifications, contract, project workbook, subcontractor scopes of work, and construction schedule
- Acquire a thorough understanding of project requirements and objectives including, but not limited to scope of work, schedule, construction coordination, materials, and personnel
- Coordinate all in-house activities associated with project execution, including but not limited to fabrication and installation, programming, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting
- Manage the project schedule
- Coordinate activities with the general contractor, construction manager, owner and other trades as required
- Coordinate with Operations Manager to schedule personnel for installation
- Cooperatively manage and monitor the labor expenditures of installation personnel over the course of the project and communicate any issues that impact profitability
- Generate and/or respond to construction communication including, but not limited to job hazard analysis, daily field reports, room readiness letters, schedule delays or compression, notification of theft or damage to materials, tools or vehicles, safety or injury reports, warranty information, material handoff or inventory, punch lists, field reports, sign-off documentation as assigned or required
- Regularly inspect installation work performed by staff and/or subcontractors. Test or certify the performance of installed systems
